About Sylvie SoRelle
First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my site.
I am an on location, natural light, Houston Photographer who specializes in newborn, children and family photography. I am a lover of God. I am also the mother of two precious children, and the wife of the best, most supportive husband there is. I am constantly seeking out new ideas and creative ways to bring my photos to the next level. When I’m not too busy with my boys, I also like to cook, crochet, and do other crafty and artistic things.
I studied portraiture under Will Michels of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and film photography under Amy Blakemore at the Glassell School of Art, where I received a scholarship after my portfolio was chosen for exhibition. I later found my niche in digital newborn photography, once I had my first son, and have not looked back ever since. I am currently working on putting my studio together and hope to have it ready by spring.
About my style:
When it comes to my newborn sessions, I love to work with earth tones to keep everything natural and organic so that the main focus is on the baby. Occasionally, I use a pop of color here or there. I also like to work with textures, and unique props, to get different looks and styles.
I am so grateful to the parents who choose me to capture their little one's beginnings. I promise to prepare for your session as if your newborn were my own, and to put all of my heart and passion into your portraits.
